History of Haendler & Natermann
1825 Founded as a forwarding agency.
1840 Industrial production of roll-lead and
lead foil, e.g. for tea crates and snuffboxes.
1848 Lead shot manufacturing in the "hail tower".
1884 Establishment of the staff sickness fund.
1898 The existing capsule factory and the old lead rolling mill are
modernised.
1946 The existing capsule factory and the old lead rolling mill are
modernised.
1970 Sale of the enterprise to the Metallgesellschaft AG.
1989 The shares are taken over by Austria Metall AG.
1993 H&N becomes part of the Vienna based Constantia Packaging AG.
2000 H&N celebrates its 175th anniversary.
